Home-made ZEPPOLES!

I never claimed that this was a healthy blog, in fact if you read the title them you can imagine the array of different types of foods I (come up with.)  Saw a Italian show on tv about Zeppoles, which are simply fried dough balls, like Spanish street/fair food and became hungry so I ransacked my pantry for anything that I could use to make this.
Easy- made a dough with wheat flour, soy milk, little sugar, vanilla extract, etc....and decided to stuff the center with organic apricot jam.


Then, best I could, rolled the dough balls together and set them in the freezer for a few minutes to set.


As the oil was heating up I rolled the (chilled) zeppoles into cinnamon and sugar.

Drizzle with either agave nectar or some organic maple syrup:) enjoy
